ANGLER ANNE
2020 Southport 33 Tournament Edition
850 HORSEPOWER. PURPOSEFUL CUSTOMIZATION. SERIOUS OFFSHORE CAPABILITY.
Some boats carry fishing equipment. Angler Anne was ordered and custom built around the way her owner wanted to fish.
This 2020 Southport 33 Tournament Edition pairs twin white Yamaha 425 XTO Offshore V8 outboards with a broad 10′ 8″ beam, sweeping Carolina bow flare and a deep-V hull with 22 degrees of transom deadrise. Her substantial proportions provide room to work, while 850 horsepower supplies the muscle for the offshore run. Both engines have approximately 460 hours.
Her custom configuration combines the open fishing layout of the Tournament Edition with the practical conveniences of a Family Edition leaning post. A sink, cooler tub, trash storage and bait-preparation surface support a full day aboard without sacrificing the cockpit’s working space. Extra-wide bolstered helm seating, white upholstery with silver-gray accents, polished stainless metalwork and a Whisper Gray finish give her a distinctive, coordinated appearance.
Built Around the Bite
TACO Grand Slam outriggers with carbon-fiber poles anchor the trolling spread. Additional flush-mounted rod holders were specified throughout the build, including a request to replace aft cup holders with rod holders. From the gunwales to the hardtop rocket launchers, Angler Anne makes her priorities clear.
The forward insulated coffin fishbox provides substantial catch storage beneath its cushioned top while preserving passage along both sides of the console. In-deck fishboxes, a 35-gallon transom livewell, tackle storage, raw-water washdown and padded cockpit bolsters round out the fishing arrangement. A folding aft bench provides seating when needed and clears the cockpit when the action starts.
An Offshore Helm with More Than Chartplotters
Two recessed 16″ Raymarine Axiom Pro displays sit within a custom white acrylic helm panel. The electronics installation brings together navigation, RealVision 3D sonar, a separate 50/200 kHz through-hull transducer, a 48″ Magnum open-array radar and Evolution autopilot.
A FLIR M232 pan-and-tilt thermal camera, Ray91 VHF with AIS reception, external GPS antenna and SR200 SiriusXM satellite-weather receiver complete a comprehensive offshore navigation package. A Fusion stereo provides entertainment aboard.
Yamaha’s integrated electric steering, CL7 engine display and Helm Master joystick control with Station Set complement the navigation package, providing control for maneuvering and positioning.
Comfort That Earns Its Space
The hardtop incorporates an opening sunroof, overhead lighting, speakers and grab rails. Its coordinated underside and polished metalwork carry the custom finish through the helm area, while the windshield includes a wiper and freshwater rinse.
Inside the console, the enclosed head offers useful room, a freshwater marine toilet and a pull-out shower. Beneath the forward fishbox, a separate berth/storage platform is accessible from the head compartment, with additional shallow storage under its lift-up panel—useful space for life jackets and smaller gear.
An anchor windlass with polished stainless-steel anchor, boarding ladder, freshwater system, battery charger and lockable electronics cover add practical convenience aboard.
Angler Anne brings together the space of a substantial offshore center console, a deliberately customized fishing layout and an electronics package that reaches well beyond the basics. From setting the trolling spread to making the run home through the inlet, she is a Southport with a clear purpose.
Step aboard Angler Anne—and picture your next offshore day.

Broker’s Comments
The first time I walked up to Angler Anne, I stopped to admire her lines. She is a beautiful boat, with a presence that photographs only begin to capture. Once aboard, though, the lifelong offshore fisherman in me took over—and I started noticing how much thought had gone into making her work.
There is room to move, room to fish, and a remarkable number of places to put a rod. The open Tournament Edition layout, substantial forward fishbox and cockpit arrangement make sense when you picture a busy trolling spread and a fish that refuses to stay on one side of the boat. Her owner’s custom selections bring comfort into that equation, too. The wider helm seating and Family Edition leaning post are features you appreciate over a long day offshore.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the room in the console head and the useful storage tucked beneath the forward fishbox. Those details are easy to overlook on an equipment list, but they matter when you spend time aboard.
What stayed with me was how substantial she feels. At 32 feet 6 inches with a 10-foot-8-inch beam, Angler Anne is a big boat, and she makes good use of that space. Add the twin 425 Yamahas and her extensive electronics package, and you have a boat that gives an offshore fisherman plenty to get excited about.
I certainly did. If offshore fishing is part of your life, I would enjoy showing you the details that caught my attention.
